20th Anniversary Mid-Atlantic Chevelle Show

Debbie Radcliffe-Borsh and Karen Mauro had their hands full with membership.  All you had to do was either sign up as a new member, renew your membership, update your information in the membership database or just come by and see them.  In turn, you were handed a FREE raffle ticket that could win you a brand new engine stand.  The pot was sweetened, when a painless wiring set was added to the mix.  In addition, they had an extra duty as they were also in charge of selling the dinner tickets.

John Truman, owner of Truman’s Muscle Car’s in Egg Harbor Township, NJ was up with the first seminar of the day.  John is an expert body man and instructed the attendees on, “How to install an outside rear view mirror”.  MCC Member Ken Schou volunteered his car for the seminar.  Unfortunately the correct bracket for the mirror could not be located.  A minor hiccup, but John went on with the seminar, just not actually drilling any holes in the car. Very informative for those that attended.

Susan Zollers kept the kids (and adults) busy playing the Lifter Toss, Fan Belt toss, Hula Hoop games.  Winners were awarded some sweet prizes! Kelly and Pearl were kept busy all day selling T-Shirts like hot cakes!

Carl DelGallo (DelGallo’s Car Care Products) did a seminar on “How to Detail Your Chevelle”.  Carl demonstrated the fine detailing products he distributes and boy do they work nice!

With so much going on, it was hard to believe that 3:30 P.M. had arrived and it was time for the Saturday closing ceremony. MCC president Donnie Gates started by introducing the MCC club officers and thanking all of those who had helped with the show.  He also gave thanks to all of the sponsors for their generosity and the participants for attending.  Seventeen of the eighteen Crystal Class winners were present and were called up to receive their special awards.

Next was the TH-350 Transmission give-a-way (donated by Steve Powell - Thoroughbred Transmissions).  Each MCC Member that participated in the sponsorship contest received one entry for each $250 denomination they raised.  The ticket was pulled, Fred Gillis was the lucky winner!  Congratulations Fred!!

Last, but Not least, was the 50/50 drawing.  After the 50/50 drawing, it was only about 60 minutes until many would return for “Dinner at the Park”.

At 5 P.M sharp, dinner (catered by G&L Pit Beef) was ready. With Pit Beef, Ham, Turkey, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Hand Made Pulled Pork, Maccaroni, Coleslaw, Potato Salad and all the fixin’s, there was plenty to choose from. The line moved quickly and it wasn’t long before everyone had their fill.
